A week has passed travelling in bus, but he has never been able to get opportunity to have a seat. Normally bus is already full with the passengers. If passengers are less the daily commuting collegians have become so expert in getting the seats that getting a seat is very difficult. There is a very unique but widely accepted way of reserving seat. The passengers will keep some belonging on the seat and it would be considered that the seat has been reserved by the person. Ganpatangi was new to this custom but slowly he also has got accustomed to this and now he is getting seats. But yesterday was somewhat different. He had put his bag on the seat adjacent to the window, but when he entered the bus he saw that the seat reserved was equipped by a girl and her friends. His bag was lying in a broken seat and it seemed as if it would have been used to dust the seats. He was very unhappy and felt disgusted. He had to stand in the whole journey and thus got a new learning.

He decided that now he will follow Darwin’s theory –survival of the fittest. Any how he will rush into the bus and reserve his seat by himself instead of keeping belongings here and there. This worked and he was happy once again.
